Here are the 35 paper and mud sculptures in my Van Anda mini-home/studio on Texada Island, B.C.

The five (oldest) largest sculptures in the collection were all made in Baja California, Mexico (2016-2020). The Alien, Flower Girl, Big Spider, Hummingbird Moth, Mr Fish.

The five sculptures most resembling real things. Leaping Orca, Mushroom House, Standing Bear, Four Ears, The Skull.

Here are sculptures with full-bodied curves. Scorpion Snake, Red Rooster, O’ Pelican, Nothing.

Bendy paper is my favorite sculpture building technique. These sculptures begin life as a flat sheet of paper; and are gradually bent and thickened into a final form.

These sculptures all have FIVE wings, petals, arms. Five Wings sculpture , Fish and Cactus sculpture, Cactus sculpture.

Then the number THREE took over: Three Leaf Vase sculpture, Three Trees sculpture, Three Trees II sculpture.

A line drawing by Pablo Picasso of three ballerinas set me off on a new look: Ballerina Long, Ballerina Flipped, Tiny Ballerina, Tall Ballerina.

Out of flowing ballet shapes came these spined versions taking those complex curves (of light and shadow) to a whole new level with the addition of three additional planes.
