. . .this website is evolving. The 20+ sculptures on this page are all located on Texada Island, and some are looking for new homes: Sculptures For Sale.
360-view videos of these sculptures can be found on my Youtube channel.
The four tallest “Texada” sculptures being about 1m tall. . . .
The Alien (2021) The eyes follow you as you walk past. Peaceful and haunting.

Mister Fish (2021) (left) was inspired by a fish bone (shown). The original Mister Fish (right) stood five feet tall, had a body and three feet.

Flower Girl (2020) has been refurbished twice: once to shorten the base, and again to replace the flower petals.

Hummingbird Moth (2019) was my last people-sized sculpture, standing four feet tall with a four foot wingspan. Inspired by the posture of a hummingbird moth feeding on a flower–i ultimately resorted to the body of a goose and the wings of a condor.

The last two larger sculptures i made are Big Spider (2019) and Big flower (2019). Both about two feet across and adorn the wall of my mini-home; the roof overhang protects them from weather.

In 2020 i started building much smaller, table-top sculptures. I enjoyed lovely sunsets from my 2nd art studio–literally, on the southern edge of town. That point is five miles away.

The Scorpion Snake (2020) was inspired by a scorpion assuming a threat posture.

O’Pelican (2019) The secret of this sculpture is the genuine pelican’s beak pointing skyward–piercing three layers of cloud.

The Offering (2019) was built like a tree.

Spiral Bird (2019) somewhere between a bird and a snail.

Golden Falcon (2020) and Standing Falcon (2020) were part of a series of reach sculptures, which share sweeping wings reaching skyward.

Embrace Life (2020) were my first table-top sculptures, I made four squarish ones (right) and then four curvier ones (center). All inspired by a sea shell sculpture called: Dive Into Life And death (left). The diving figure is a dolphin vertebrae.

I moved back to BC, in April 2021, to work on the Clifton cattle ranch in Keremeos, BC. The Rancher (2021) sculpture captures ranching pretty well–solidly connected to the earth and constantly adjusting to nature. That’s no bull.

Five Wings (2021) was my second attempt at making wings (petals?) like this. Chalice (2021) was my first and remains in Baja.

Purple Bug (2021) Just for fun. . . .

Rocket Man (2021) Represented me pretty well at the time, having recently arrived from the chaos of an expat living in Mexico to the demands and rewards of living on a Canadian ranch. It felt like being reborn back into civilisation. I have never met nicer folks than those who cared for me on the ranch.

Four Claws (2021) The four sides to any conversation. On top, on the bottom, left leaning and right leaning.

The Fish And Cactus (2024) and Cactus (2024) sculptures both feature (cactus) driftwood from Mulege, Baja California, Mexico.

And last but not least are these soon-to-be-complete sculptures.
